Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

There is a first time for everything!

     Well hello there!  This is my first official post on my first official blog!  If you are reading this please feel free to add me, follow me, whatever it is you do!  I guess I should start with a little history.  I am 25 years old, married, and currently attend college.  I am a fifth year senior who will be graduating this May!  I am looking to go into a teaching and cannot wait to start student teaching next fall. 
     I have been overweight my whole life and come from a family of overweight and diabetic men and women.  My highest weight has been 345lbs. and I am currently 330lbs.  At about 5'3" this is an awful amount of weight, mostly carried around my midsection.  I have no excuses or explanations for my weight, but have just found out I have polycystic ovarian disorder.  My goal weight will be in the low 130's so that gives me about 200lbs. to lose.  I have considered weight loss surgery, but am holding out on that decision as of right now.  Although I am impressed by the success of those who have had the surgery, I am a little anxious about the idea of reordering my internal anatomy.  I do not currently belong to any weight loss clubs etc. but do track my calories on a really cool website called www.my-calorie-counter.com, the website takes sometime but is really helpful in figuring the amount of calories I put in my mouth.  I love to ride my bike and it is my main form of exercise right now, but am not sure what I am going to do when the weather turns cold and rainy.  There is a full fledged gym at the college I attend, but am not comfortable working out there.  I am not officially dieting, but am making better food choices and eating healthy foods.  
        So, to finish of this long introduction, I am hoping to make some wonderful supportive friends on the web who are making this long and tough weight loss journey.  I know it takes friends, family, and faith to be successful in weight loss and I am hoping to provide support and share tips with the wonderful web people out there!
